Having a special and unique name in an online video game is something most gamers look forward to. In a multiplayer title like Crab Game, it is possible to change the name of your character if you are unhappy with it but the process isn’t straightforward like in other online games.

How To Change Name
Since the game doesn’t provide an option to change the name, it is a bit of a hassle as the in-game name is based on your Steam ID. The first thing that you need to do is open up Steam and access the friends list by clicking on the Friends menu in the top left corner.
Next, you need to tap the little arrow below your username where you will find various options to set your current status as well as another option called “Edit Profile Name”.
Click on it and you will be able to change your name all over Steam. Press confirm after you entered the name of your choice and this new name will appear in Crab Game. Currently, the only way to change your name in Crab Game is to modify your Steam username.
If the above method doesn’t work for you then you can click on the Friends menu in the top left corner and then select the Edit Profile Name/Avatar option. This will take you to the Edit profile section where you can make changes to your username as well as your First Name and Last Name on Steam.
Another way to access this menu is to click on your avatar in the top right corner to view your profile. Press the Edit Profile button next to your name and you will be redirected to the same page where you can make changes to your profile as well as your name on Steam.
