Slim Rancher 2 is a first-person action-adventure game that puts you in the role of Beatrix LeBeau as she explores the new Rainbow Island to create her own ranch and raise new slimes. You will need to collect those cute little slimes and take care of them to earn more money and upgrade the equipment on your ranch.
As you explore different parts of Rainbow Island, you will realize that it can take a lot of time to travel long as you try to collect every resource in each biome. This is where using a Jetpack can come in handy as it will allow you to easily access mountains and caves as well as travel faster from one location to another.
This guide will tell you how to unlock the Jetpack in the Slime Rancher 2.
How To Unlock Jetpack – Slime Rancher 2
In order to unlock the Jetpack, you will need to head into the Laboratory in your base and use the Fabricator. It can be found by turning left into the staircase near the Plort Market in the Conservatory.
Use the staircase to go down and you will find the Fabricator inside the Laboratory.
Access the Fabricator and click on the Upgrades tab to find the Jetpack there.
You will need the following items to craft the Jetpack from the Fabricator:
- 10 Phosphor Plorts
- 450 Newbucks
- 10 Radiant Ore
First, you will need to unlock the Resource Harvester upgrade in the Fabricator which will allow you to collect all types of resources in the environment.
It can be obtained for 450 Newbucks and 10 Cotton Plorts from the Fabricator.
Newbucks is the currency that you can earn by selling Plorts that the Slimes in your ranch produce. Cotton Plorts can be obtained by feeding Cotton Slimes roaming in the wild.
You can sell cotton Plorts or Tabby Plorts in the Plort Market to earn over 1000 Newbucks easily.
Next is the Phosphor Plort which as the name suggests can be obtained from Phosphor Slimes that only appear during the night. These slimes eat fruits such as Pogodfruits and Cuberries so you will need to feed them in order to get Phosphor Plorts.
The last item that you require is the Radiant Ores which cannot be found in the Rainbow Fields and you will need to unlock another island called Ember Valley to find them.
In order to access Ember Valley, you will need to defeat the Pink Gordo found north of the Refinery Link by feeding him with 32 food of any kind.
This will reveal a water geyser underneath which will allow you to access the device to activate the portal to Ember Valley.
Once you reach Ember Valley, look for small mineral deposits formation near the cliffs to get the Radiant Ores which spawn randomly. After you have obtained all the required items, head back to the Fabricator inside the Laboratory to craft the jetpack.
