There are plenty of areas that you are going to unlock and explore in Disney Dreamlight Valley. In the early game, the first area that you are going to unlock is Dazzle Beach which requires only 1000 Dreamlight to open. In this area you are going to discover plenty of Blue Rocks, some of them even blocking your way, but you won’t be able to break that easy with the pickaxe that you already have.

Blue Rocks On Dazzle Beach Guide in Disney Dreamlight Valley
Dazzle Beach Blue Rocks Blocking Bridge
In order to unlock Dazzle Beach, you need to go and talk with Merlin. He will as 1000 Dreamlight from you to open the whole new Biome for you.
Upon paying Merlin, he will remove all the roots that are blocking the entrance bridge to Dazzle Beach and you will be able to enter the area.
Unfortunately, at the bridge going to Dazzle Beach, you will come across blue rocks that will block your way. The problem is that you won’t be able to break them with the pickaxe that you have.
In order to break the Blue Rocks, you will have to upgrade your pickaxe by completing some of Maui’s quests in the Moana realm.
Moana Realm
From here, you have to go to the Moana Realm, but you will have to pay 3000 Dreamlight to Merlin to open the door.
Once you unlock the world of Moana, you will start a new quest named “After The Storm”. You can use Fast Travel and go to the Moana Realm.
When you get there, you will meet Moana and Maui, and then a new quest from Maui will be available.
Maui Quest
At the Moana Realm, you need to complete a few quests from Moana and Maui and reach friendship Level 4 with Maui.
Once you reach level 4 with Maui, he will have a new available quest for you. The new quest is called “A Tale of Stone and Fire” in which Maui will show you the blue rocks and what they drop.
During the quest, he will ask you to cook a dish for him, and once you give him the dish, he will upgrade your pickaxe in return.
After that, you have to follow him to the Sea Debris where you have to break it and collect what you find inside. You will find some Sand, Stone, and Coal ore.
Give it to Maui and then you will have to continue with your quest.
Breaking the large Blue Rocks
Now, just continue searching Dazzle Beach for more Blue Rocks, break them with your Royal Pickaxe, and collect all the required materials for the quest.
You need to collect the following items:
- 20 Sand
- 25 Stone
- 10 Coal Ore
- 3 Red Falling Penstemon
There are more than enough blue rocks around dazzle beach, and once you collect all the materials, go back and talk to Maui to finish the quest.
