There is a cooldown and charge time for many of its swing attacks, giving you a chance to deliver a few hits of your own before it starts attacking again. You will get these chances only a few times so use them wisely and don’t deplete your stamina early in the fight because you might need to dodge frequently.
You also need to be careful when it starts shaking its head since it will soon start spewing fire in your direction so you need to dodge and use range attacks during this moment.
It will also slam you down with its sword when it stands up vertically but you can avoid if you time your dodge carefully. The Burial Tree Watchdog can also rise into the air and move towards your position and then use its sword to send a shockwave ripple. You need to be careful and dodge rapidly since it can use this attack multiple times. Try to stay on the defensive until the creature stops floating again and wait for your stamina to refill before you decide to hit it again.
How to Defeat Burial Tree Watchdog Boss
The best way to fight this boss is to bait all his attacks by moving to the side then dodging his attack and then delivering a combo of attacks. Bring a good shield since some of his sword attacks have a long-range. During his fire attacks, position yourself on his side, start hitting rapidly and then roll away. You can also use the North Mercenary Ashes for assistance to easily defeat this boss
