New World as the name suggests is an open-world MMO RPG title developed by Amazon where you will need to survive on the supernatural island of Aeternum. You will need to fight, forage and forge new weapons to deal with obstacles that you will face on your journey either alone or with friends.
The Mortal Sphere quest requires you to search for a group of missing archaeologists near the ancient tomb. This quest is assigned by Elric Chapman and you will need to complete the Money Talks quest to start it.

This Mortal Sphere Quest Guide – New World
In order to start this quest, head over to Greenhaven settlement and talk to Elric Chapman standing in front of the Blacksmith.
He is a historian and he will tell you about the excavation crew that has gone missing near the ancient tomb while looking for some strange spheres.
Now it is your job to search for the crew and collect any clues along the way such as their journals.
Once you have accepted the quest, you will need to head over to the Kannan Tomb on the map at the location shown above.
Just go straight from the settlement and follow the narrow road to reach the tomb. The recommended level for visiting the tomb is level 7.
After you reach there, you need to be careful as the area is full of scavengers wandering around.
Follow the yellow markers to find and read the journals left behind by the team of archaeologists.
The first one can be found lying on the table inside the tent whereas the second one is located on a table inside the main ground area.
You will find Rolfe the Wary standing in front of the journal.
Make sure to clear any enemies present in the area first before you read the journal.
Last but not least, the third journal can be found near a broken horsecart in the forest west of the previous location.
After you have collected all three journals, head back to the Greenhaven settlement and talk to Elric Chapman there. You will need to tell him that all the members of the crew have gone missing and Elric will say that he needs to inform their families.
As a reward for completing this quest, you will receive the Prehistoric Hatchet, 770 XP. 47.50 coins and 175 Territory Standing.
